A great value new hotel in an excellent location Positive: MoriKoYa Hotel is in an excellent location in Asakusa area. It's easy to get to a number of different metro lines and buses are good. There is lots to see in the area. It's not too close to all the heavy tourist areas, but an easy walk, so you can get away from the noise and crowds. The main bed was excellent, but the bunks were a little hard. The rooms are fine for 2-3 people, but it was a bit squeezy for 4 adults as there is not much space to open bags. However, there is a small walk-in cupboard which did help. The kitchen facilities are excellent. We only used them for breakfast as there are so many restaurant options for other meals, but it was good to have a small griller for toasting. The staff are very helpful and kept checking if everything was OK. We were able to store our luggae for free on the last day. Overall we had a great experince here. Negative: Nothing.

Never again. Positive: Location is good. Entrance has a seating area that is attractive. Walkable to many amenities. Restaurants and shopping 5-10 min. walk. Negative: The two bdrm space was narrow and very cramped. Maybe ok for one or two persons. No space to open suitcases. Photos and description were deceptive. Felt much smaller than advertised. No table or chairs for writing or dining. There was a tall freezer and a small refrigerator but zero counter space in the kitchen. No dishrack. No dish scrubber. One small kitchen towel provided. No tea provided; coffee only. No broom or sweeper to clean the floors Kitchen was poorly equipped. Bathroom shower was adequate but dull. Fluorescent ceiling lighting was harsh and uninviting. Bunkbed filled the room. No room to walk around the bed. Sheets, duvet are folded on top of bed. Make your own bed. No bedside lamp for the second bedroom bunkbeds. Unstaffed for two hours midday. No staff to be found most of the time. No niceties or amenities for comfort. Barebone basics.

We had a great time and would highly recommend Positive: Location was great! Staff were friendly and much more spacious than other places we stayed!

Positive: Spacious, clean, and comfortable room. There’s a washer/dryer machine which is a plus for groups or families staying for a longer period. Very close to all the food places and of course Senso-ji Temple but still quiet enough at night.
